project gratitude: 0105

January 5- I am grateful for lots of things...
  • for a pregnancy that has got to full term
  • for a beautiful smelling rose that we found on our morning walk
  • for a husband who rubs my back when needed
  • for a cat who always sits in the window waiting for us to come home
  • for Tobes deciding to take annual leave prior to family leave so that he's here to support me. Love him!

project gratitude: 0103

January 3- Today I am grateful that I got to take a photo of me at 40 weeks pregnant, particularly as they were initially very keen to induce at 38-39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. I'm grateful too that after today's appointment at the hospital, they are happy to let me go another week because she is going so well.

January 1- for my first omelette cooked by me! Toby is a master omelette maker but I rose to the challenge today and did quite well!

January 2- for swims in mum and dad's pool on hot days

I have decided that this year I will try to take a photo (around about) daily and post them here of things I am grateful for.

There are a few people who do projects like this for the year. I'm not sure how long I'll last, but I'm sure that there will be moments this year where I will need to stop and take in the small moments, when life seems a bit overwhelming. I'm also sure that there will be days where my heart is swelling with gratitude and when I will be tempted to take hundreds of photos!

Posts will be tagged as Project Gratitude. If you would like to play along, comment at the bottom and track back to your blog, or just write something that you've been grateful for that day or week. It will be fun to play along together and to have a collection of our blessings by the end of 2012.

What 40 weeks looks like

It was VERY hot last night and it was very hard to sleep, but I got a few hours in the end and survived my first consistent night of strong Braxton Hicks. I also managed a 3 hour 'nap' this morning when things had cooled a little and feel much more prepared today for if anything happens. Off to the hospital soon for our check up.
